March 17, 2010 - Hello Cadets!
We’ve recently added a Cadet Gallery to our Fun Stuff page to showcase some of the wonderful work you’ve been doing.
We love seeing all the great projects you’re working on. Even more than that, we love sharing what you’ve done with other people who visit our site. If you’ve got something you want us to share, send us an email about it!
Be sure to stop by the new Gallery to take a look at what the students from Community School submitted. Great videos, Cadets!
March 1, 2010 - Hello Cadets! Here are a few reminders for the month of March.
- The Academy will close between March 8th and March 12th for Spring Break. If you want to stay at the Academy over the break, you need to get a permission slip to Officer Ward by March 5th
- March 7th is St. Patrick’s Day, so remember to wear your green! The cafeteria will be serving a traditional meal of corned beef and cabbage, and the vegetarian option is parsnip apple soup. Oh, and I can’t forget the fresh soda bread! Yum!
February 15, 2010 - On behalf of the entire Academy, I just wanted to thank Captain Wits for his exceptional Valentine's Day dance. Although I was nervous when I saw his list, everything turned out fine! Better than fine - everything was wonderful!
As soon as everyone gathered in the cafeteria for the party, Captain Wits showed us the reason for his weird shopping list. He had built a massive Valentine's heart out of concrete and painted it red! Then he used the glue and glitter to write "Dear Academy, Will you be my Valentine?" in big letters across the middle of the heart! It was so sweet of him.
After the shock wore off, he handed everyone our own tube of glue and packet of glitter so we could help decorate the heart. By the end of the night, we were all covered in glue and glitter and laughing our heads off. I can't remember ever having a better Valentines Day!
Now all I have to do is figure out how to move a 300 pound Valentine’s out of the cafeteria…
February 11, 2010 - Captain Wits offered to throw this year’s Valentine’s Day Dance, so be prepared for a special celebration. Although he’s being very secretive about what will happen, I found a shopping list that he dropped. Here’s what it said:
-
THINGS TO BUY
- 300 Pounds of Cement
- 6 Gallons of Red Paint
- 25 Tubes of Glue
- 1 Cubic Yard of White Glitter
I’ll admit that I’m a little terrified of what he could be planning, but I’m sure it will be an experience none of us will forget (no matter how hard we try).
January 11, 2010 - It's great to see everyone again! Here's what's happening this semester:
- Jax and Sparky...I mean, Jenny and Frankie, are getting their own blogs. I'm proud to announce they passed their safety test with flying colors!
- Alan is trying to use some new technology to return Zwert, his pet alien, to its home world.
- Dr. Keen will begin trying to win Elvirus over to our side and use her knowledge for good.
So let's get to work! Together, we can make this the best year ever!
December 16, 2008 - Happy Holidays, Cadets! Remember, winter break starts Friday the 18th and continues until January 4th. Any Cadet that wants to stay over winter break needs to let me know by December 10th.
Be safe, have fun, and get ready for a busy semester next year!
December 9, 2008 - It's everyone's favorite time of year again! No, I don't mean the holiday season. I'm talking about final exams!
Exams begin on Monday and Dr. Keen is taking care of scheduling this year, so please see her for your final exam schedule.
