My name is Alexi and I can speak three languages: French, Spanish and Chinese! I also love music and when I'm bored I try to learn a new instrument. I play guitar, piano, tin whistle and didgeridoo already, I'm thinking of trying the ukulele next!

Yay!
This is a very exciting semester already! Not only do I get to post to my blog again, but my best friend Yoko is going to have one too! She’s an exchange student at the Academy this year, but I’ve known her for years. We met back when my father was stationed in Japan, and we've been pen pals (email pals?) ever since.
I convinced her to go through Safe Blogging Training, so that she could have a blog, too, this semester. Alan and I are helping her set it up, but I think I'm going to ask Erika to help with the design—she's so good at that.

Maya's Assistant
I am so happy that I got picked for Maya's assistant this semester! After my big screw-up with the scavenger hunt last year, I'm really eager to prove to her that I can focus and apply myself.
I'm going to be helping Maya catalog all the sites in the Databank and develop bots to filter through new sites as they are published. It's going to require a lot of organizational skills and I'm going to have to look through a LOT of Web sites. Only trouble is, I have a habit of following links and getting sidetracked and before you know it, I've wasted an hour surfing the Internet. This is going to be a little tough.
